About the Student / Early Professional Special Interest Group
This special interest group (SIG) caters to New Hampshire physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students and clinicians within the first three to five years of practice. The SIG provides learning, networking, mentorship, and socializing opportunities to students and clinicians across the state.
Objectives
Provide mentorship opportunities for New Hampshire DPT students, PTA students, and early professionals within the first five years of practice.
Encourage networking and social opportunities between New Hampshire DPT students, PTA students, and early professionals within the first five years of practice.
Provide New Hampshire DPT students, PTA students, and early professionals with educational opportunities focused on issues related to early clinical practice.
Build a community to promote and encourage participation of New Hampshire DPT students, PTA students, and early professionals in the APTA NH Student and Early Professional SIG.
Provide a platform for advocacy efforts that impact students and issues related to early clinical practice.

Dakota Krol, BOD and Liaison to the Early Professional SIG
Dakota Krol has been an APTA member for 5 years and is a residency-trained, Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He holds additional certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from the McKenzie Institute. Currently, Dakota serves as a Multisite Center Manager overseeing clinical operations across 3 outpatient orthopedic centers in southern New Hampshire. In addition, he is an adjunct instructor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Franklin Pierce University. He is passionate about leadership, clinical excellence, and advancing the field of physical therapy.
Chair Positions
We are seeking two motivated members to serve as co-chairs of the SIG for a 2 year term beginning July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2027. Co-chairs will engage students and early professionals to participate in SIG events, write and submit updates for the APTA NH Newsletter, and assist with SIG event planning. Interested in applying?
