Micki Harris Evening Lecture: Meditation in Movement: Tai Chi/Qigong for the client and clinician

This course will include applications for the therapist and treatment interventions for the client.  The course will be primarily interactive versus traditional learning.

Course Objectives:
The learner will be able to:

  • apply the principles of Tai chi/Qigong into treatment interventions.
  • describe the benefits of participation in Tai Chi/Qigong program.
  • apply tai chi/qigong principles into own daily regimen for stress reduction.
  • apply tai chi/qigong exercises in seated, standing, and walking.

Speaker Bio:
Matt is a graduate of Quinnipiac University and has worked in the north country of New Hampshire for the last 27 years as an outpatient PT specializing in manual therapy/chronic pain management. Matt is a Tai Chi Easy Practice Leader and a Holden Qigong Instructor. For the past four years, Matt has worked to integrate concepts of Tai Chi and Qigong into Physical Therapy practice in addition to leading twice weekly free community classes in Gorham sponsored by Androscoggin Valley Hospital.
